So for the month of September I am working an extra two days a week at work. Now I work 12hr days and I work at a prison so it's not like any other job and these extra days are during the day and my regular schedule is at night so I've been switching back and forth which is weird and difficult. I can't really complain because I get an extra 60 hours of overtime on the next two paychecks which will pay off two credit cards and I will e able to get my new computer!!! Yay!!! We are trying to get out of debt before we move to Tucson in January so I gotta work my butt off. Josh is doing well in school, this is his first semester taking classes in actual classrooms and it's not that much easier for him than the online classes plus these classes are the normal semester long classes which gives him more time to waste and procrastinate (I'm te queen of procrastination by the way so I know) whereas his online classes were shorter so he had to get his butt in gear. Oh well he's been working non-stop for the last two years almost on school and this winter break will be most welcome before he starts at U of A in January. I'm so proud of him, he's working so hard and he's getting such fantastic grades (all A's and I think 2 B's so far).
Anyway I have to work the next two days and then I have wednesday off, thank goodness. Jamie and I are going to hang out and hit up a bunch of thrift stores. I love me some thrift stores, I love the possibilities!!! I'm weird I know. But it'll be good to catch up with my sister and we can do it during the day since she quit working and became a stay at home mom, which is awesome. Oh well I guess I should go.
Happy Sunday!!!

Back to basics please...
Ok so maybe this is weird but I really want to live out in the middle of no where and just have some animals, a huge garden and just enjoy my family and be as self-sufficient as possible.
I just want to live a simpler life, there is too much wickedness in this world and I know that we are supposed to "live in the world but not of the world" but I just don't want my children to have to grow up with such evil, I want to protect their innocence with all that I have. I don't by any means want my children to be naive but I want them to be virtuous and innocent. I want to focus on improving my sewing skills especially in quilting, and clothes. I also want to learn to make bread from scratch and learn to can vegetables and meat.
I asked Josh for a dehydrator for Christmas, kind of a weird thing I know but I want to be able to preserve food for long term storage so that we can be more prepared for when things get really bad. I don't want to be a fear monger but things are getting worse, not just wickedness but catastrophes and weather changes and we need to be ready.
I'm also very ready for colder weather to come. Josh and I have been talking about Medical schools to apply to and places we could live. Both of us have Seasonal Deffective Disorder, we both get really depressed when the sun doesn't shine and soak up the Vitamin D. Josh is worse than I so with him in school it's important that he be in the right frame of mind. We both are wanting seasons, I miss Fall. I miss that crisp weather, the leaves changing, the coolness, the fog in the mornings.
Well enough of my ramblings I'm gonna go make some snack bags for our nursery kids.
